He was predeceased by: his son Donald J. Buckley, Jr.; and his siblings, Jean Buckley, Patricia Gagliardi, Robert Buckley, Kathleen Martin and Paul Buckley.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon (Nerbonne); his children, Annemarie Buckley Shaffer (Brian), Dawn Buckley and Kelley Buckley Scott; his grandchildren, Caroline Elizabeth Buckley, Abigail Dawn Buckley, Madeleine Buckley Shaffer, Lauren Buckley Shaffer, Brett Buckley Shaffer, Emmett Buckley Scott, Owen Buckley Scott and Graham Buckley Scott; his sisters, Judith Crowley (Arthur) and Joan Hughes (James); and his siblings-in-law, Gerard Martin, Edna Buckley, Elaine Buckley and Karen Buckley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
