With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David L Reiley of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, born in Morristown, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 8, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Reiley and Thelma Reiley; his in-laws, Jack and Helen Vaughan; his sister Joan; and his brother-in-law Gene Vaglio.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia (Vaughan); his daughters, Maureen Reed (Clark) of Hopewell, NJ and Colleen DiGiambattista (Matt) of Basking Ridge, NJ; and his grandchildren, Jack, Charlie, Emma and Morgan.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home (101 S Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the Somerset Hills Memorial Park (95 Mt Airy Rd, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920).

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Dave's name to Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity, continuing his lifelong commitment to building and uplifting his community.

“I was shocked and saddened to hear of Dave's passing. He was my oldest friend - we met about 1960. We had a lot of fun in our younger years.. Our lives diverged as we got older, but we spoke periodically and reminisced about the old days and people we knew. After his stroke, he exhibited a great amount of courage, willing himself to get better. He was a great friend to me and many others. I will miss him. My condolences to Pat and family. My deepest sympathy, Tom Grant”
