He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Conway and David Conway. He is survived by: his wife Eileen; his daughters, Erin Conway Howell (Glenn) and Sharon Conway Schmitt (Steven); and his grandchildren, Sarah Howell Dougherty (Mark), Shane Howell, Landon Schmitt and Grant Schmitt.

His contributions to sports extended internationally as he played a major part in bringing tennis to the Goodwill Games held in the Soviet Union.
