Though Walter may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Jennings Burks and Ethel Ramey Burks; and his siblings, Gary Randall Burks and Sue Burks Dick. He is survived by: his wife Janie Burks; and his children, David Burks (Angela), Lisa Buccilla, Jana DeHart (David) and Kena Foster (Chuck). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
