She was predeceased by: her parents, David Varnedore and Inez Varnedore; her husband Howard Matson; her siblings, Virgil (Florence Varnedore), Cecil (Doris Varnedore) and Louise; and her brother-in-law Sam Hutcheson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Peggy Crews (Mike) and Debra O'Berry (Michael); her grandchildren, Heather Lyons (James), Tom Crews (Megan), Mary O'Berry, Andrew Crews, Michael O'Berry and Jonathan O'Berry; and her great grandchildren, Ethen Crews, Isabelle Crews, Blaityn Vreeland, Kohley Vreeland and Lucy Rose Lyons. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In her later years, she devotedly cared for Howard during his battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
