He was predeceased by: his daughter Leah Ann Wells; his parents, Robert S. Wells and Lucille Wells; and his siblings, Ronnie Wells, Faye Ross and Joann Sapp.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Wells; his children, Leon Franklin Wells, Jr. and Katina Wells Carroll (Samuel, Sr.); his siblings, Joyce Wells Laseter (George) and John Wells; and his grandchildren, Amanda Gilyard, Kayla Gilbert, Lacey Smith, Heather Merwin, Brook Russell, Brittany Carroll, Wyatt Carroll, Kirstie Carroll and Kylie Wells. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
At the request of the family, it will be mandatory for all who attend to wear a mask.
