He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Hendricks and Nellie Hendricks; his wife Inez Hendricks; his siblings, Sidney Hendricks, Leon Hendricks, Clifford Hendricks, Thelma Hiles and Margaret Chesser; and his friend Dorothy "Dot" Driggers.

He is survived by: his stepson David (Pam Hodges) of Cleveland, TN; his sister Ruby Jones; his grandchildren, Kyle and Sloan; and his caregivers, Barbara Hendricks and Linda Tucker. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
