He was predeceased by: his parents, L. C. Purifoy and Sue Etta Purifoy (Jackson). He is survived by: his wife Doris Lookadoo Purifoy; his siblings, Nancy Lester, L. C. Purifoy, Jr., James Purifoy, Jean Darr, Collie Purifoy, Essie Lee Purifoy and Emma Purifoy; his children, Wallace Lookadoo, Sr. (Deloris), Earnest Purifoy (Marian), Loretha Medlock and Nancy Purifoy; his grandchildren, Wallace Lookadoo, Jr. (Benita), Eugene King (Chiquita), Marcia King-Collins, Rickey Medlock (Chrissie), Tara Simon (Harry), Ricky Summers, Marcus Medlock, Earnest Purifoy III (Monteka), Crystal Purifoy, Zavier Matlock and Kaisha Purifoy; and his brother-in-law Fred Lester. He is also survived by great grandchildren, loving nieces, nephews and friends.
