He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Simpson and Josephine Simpson (Pittman); and his siblings, Shirley, Ralph, Elouise, Theresa, Mozelle and JoAnn.

He is survived by: his wife Janice; his daughter Audra Mullins (Shane); his grandchildren, Faith, Shane II (Markie) and Sarrell (Kiwi); his great grandchildren, Bryanna, Valkyrie, James and Shane III; and his sister Ruth Mezza. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and many other family and friends.
