He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Emma J. Whitfield (Lawson) and Henry J. Whitfield; his wife Hazel Whitfield (Womack); and his children, Evelyn Fenn, Brenda Rimes, Lisa Barnes of Mooresville, NC, Annette Barnes of Wildwood, FL and Mark (Joyce). He was also cherished by 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren.
