She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruben Monroe and Nellie Mae Monroe; her husband Melvin U. Bowan; her daughter Donna L. Osborne; and her siblings, A. D. Monroe, Ted Monroe, LeRoy Monroe, Lillian Newsom, Marie Meadows, Dorothy Garverick and Ruby Ward.
She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda O'Neal Finch (John) and Peggy Lynn Perry (David); her grandchildren, Chris Britton (Hunter), Misty Clark and Dolas Osborne (Kathryn); and her great grandchildren, Kyle, Taylor, Ryan, Isabella, Braylin and Dylan.
A reception was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Oxford (4060 Co Rd 108, Oxford, FL 34484).
