It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Benson Ray Tart (Osteen, Florida), born in Sanford, Florida, who passed away on September 23, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Frank and Ethel Hirt Tart; and his brother Joe Frank Tart. He is survived by: his brother Marcel Tart (Elizabeth); and his nieces and nephews, Trevor Tart (Nichole), Shauna Gail Chambers (Robbie), Kimberly Caro (David), Christopher Tart (Amanda) and Joel Tart (Sandy).

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Servants' Quarters Fellowship, 1429 Sabal Palm Drive, Edgewater, Florida 32132.

“Benny and I taught at NTCS starting in 1986. He was well liked and respected by students and faculty alike. It was during these years that, as a friend, I found how much he loved his family. Please know this love and the love of the Lord will no doubt bring you great comfort. He will be missed. Though I lost track of him having married and moved to WV, I will always consider him a great man for the Lord and my friend. In God's grace, Judy Miller Sargent”
