Joan Maxine Calhoon Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joan Maxine Calhoon of Osprey, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 3, 2025 at the age of 94. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joan Maxine Calhoon to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Albert and Sarah Rowena Glatz (Brewer); her husband Horace N. "Buzz" Calhoon; her children, Terri A Calhoon, Charles E Calhoon and Michael Kevin Calhoon (Conery) of Ft Collins, CO; her daughter-in-law Heidi Calhoon; her siblings, John Arthur Glatz and Mary Elaine; and her brother-in-law Jimmy Baker.
She is survived by: her children, Patrick M Calhoon (Kim) of Sarasota, FL, Brian J Calhoon (Dawn) of Worden, IL, Joan M Schwartz (Richard) of Sarasota, FL and Kristin A Zachodny (John) of Sarasota, FL.; her grandchildren, Jerald, Bird, Jenna, Leah, Stevie, Rachel, Olivia, Duncan, Keegan, Erin, Zac, Abby, Caleb and Noah; her great grandchildren, Donovan, Sloan, Camdon, Isobel, Kaylin, Jameson, Hazel, Lei Ona and Uriah; her nieces and nephews, Karen, Kathy, Barbie, John, Jackie, Becky, Jay, Debbie and Susie; her close friend Irene Connoyer; her friends, Dick, Nina Folsom, Jim, Elvera Davis, Gene, Donna Schenk, John, Wannie Day, Mary Powell, Shirley Barton, Pat Gvillo, Helen Stalcup and Tom Liebler; and also Rose.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Our Lady Queen of Peace Church (425 S Tamiami Trl, Osprey, FL 34229). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
