He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosa Mae Priest and Ferney Willis Priest; and his siblings, Patsy Fugate, Danny Priest and Eddie Priest.

He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Diane Priest; his children, Mary Lynn Mortimer (Michael), Reggie Allen Priest and Heather Leanne Priest; his grandchildren, Kourtney Lynn Priest, Katelyn Cheryl Barker (Caleb), Colby Allen Priest, Kolten Michael Mortimer and Kearsten Grace Mortimer; his brother Hallie Priest (Karen); and his brothers-in-law, Buddy McKenzie (Dawn) and Rusty McKenzie (Theresa). He is also survived by cousins and many nieces and nephews, as well as great and great-great nieces and nephews.
