He was predeceased by: his wife Dorian Hancock; his parents, Clarence Wright Griffin and Maude Ester Griffin; and his siblings, Dorothy Ann Pickard and Bobby Wright Griffin.
He is survived by: his son David Scott Griffin; his granddaughters, Zoe Racco-Griffin and Mila Racco-Griffin; his great grandchild Atley Luna Racco-Griffin; and his brothers, Ronnie and Donnie Griffin. He is also survived by his numerous nieces and nephews.
