As Melissa Anne departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Melissa Anne may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Melissa Anne leaves behind.

She is survived by: her parents, Robert Morris and Anne Williamson Morris of Coronado, California; her husband James M. Kavanagh; her stepmother Rebecca Morris of Bluffton; her brother Michael Morris (Suzanne); her stepsister Lauren Smeenge (Steve); her nephew Tyler Morris (Elycia); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Raegan and Rylee; and also, Kyle and Kiera.
