The passing of Killian W. Barnette (Daytona Beach, Florida) leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on April 18, 2025 at the age of 22. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his great-grandparent Elsie Galbreath; his grandparents, Betty Galbreath and Chris Galbreath; his father Kirk Vandervoort; his grandmother Lois Lester; and his stepgrandfather Ralph Lester.

He is survived by: his children, Zion and Zendaya Barnette; the parent of his children Shaniqua Kelly; his mother Kate Martinelli (George Martinelli) of Cave Spring, Georgia; and his adoptive father C. Michael Barnette of Ormond Beach, Florida. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Dale Woodward Funeral Homes and Cremation Services (1780 Ocean Shore Blvd, Ormond Beach, FL 32176). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. He walked with his graduating class during one of the first in-person ceremonies following the pandemic—a joyful and well-earned moment of pride.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Killian's memory to Halifax Humane Society, Daytona Beach.
