He was predeceased by: his parents, Loretta Ackerman and Harry Ackerman; his siblings, Bob Ackerman and Millie Stockholm; and his mother-in-law Irma Kastler.

He is survived by: his wife Lois Ackerman; his children, Denise King (Tom), Wayne Ackerman and Michael Ackerman (Lynn); his grandchildren, Mike Ackerman (Jamie), Eric Ackerman (Emily) and Hillary King (Eric); and his sister Bev Supple.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Volusia Memorial Funeral Home (548 N Nova Rd, Ormond Beach, FL 32174). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Ken's name to Faith Lutheran Church in Ormond Beach.
