Franklin Lee Crider Obituary
Franklin Lee "Shorty" Crider was born on May 16, 1937 in Samsula, Florida to Lee and Eula Crider. He passed away on May 8, 2024 after a long battle with Parkinson's at home surrounded by his family. Shorty was a veteran in the United States Army. After the military he became a Harley Davidson mechanic for many years. He then owned and operated the prosperous Shorty Crider Roofing Company where he retired from 35 years later. Shorty was a simple man who enjoyed fishing, playing cards, watching westerns and spending time with his family. In his earlier years he was very adventurous and loved racing Harley Davidson motorcycles on the beaches and racetracks throughout Florida. Shorty is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Linda; his daughter Elisabeth Gillham; his son Christopher Ridley; Alyssa Miller and Raelynn Gary; many brothers and sisters, and nieces and nephews. Family and friends whose lives have been touched by Shorty Crider are invited to the celebration of his life at Strong Tower Christian Fellowship Church on June 1st, 2024 at 12pm.
