He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Zipperer and Annie Zipperer Sr.; and his son Todd Zipperer. He is survived by: his wife Vivian Bennett Zipperer; his children, Scott Zipperer and Gina Strasser; and his grandchildren, Shannon Hudgens, Lindsey Smith, Faith Wilson and Destiny Strasser.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Al's memory may be made to Tomoka Christian Church, 1450 Hand Ave, Ormond Beach, Florida; or Salty Church, 221 Vining Court, Ormond Beach, Florida.
