It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel George in Orlando, Florida, born in Poughkeepsie, New York, who passed away on July 26, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas L. George and Rose Nichols George; his wife Dayle John George; and his sister Naomi Theresa Nassar (Albert). He is survived by: his children, Terri George Rech (Dave), Tom George (Liz), Traci George Alsup (Ty) and Jeff George (Jeannine); his siblings-in-law, Jay John and Carolyn John Zenter (David); his grandchildren, Camilla Alsup, Max Alsup, Elaina Rech Davenport (Nelson), Caroline George Freeman (Aaron), Joe George, Natalie Rech Hutto (Forrest), Alyssa Mazurkiwecz, Mason Mazurkiwecz and Ellis Rech; and his great grandchildren, Nelson Davenport V and Lila Davenport. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Shreveport, or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
