She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Ostberg and Helen Ostberg; and her brother Neil John Ostberg Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Joe Howard; her sons, Keith and Kevin Howard; her daughter-in-law Jessica; and also Laura.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the All-Faiths Memorial Park (1390 Park Dr, Casselberry, FL 32707).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Janice's memory to the Christian Help Employment and Resource Center.
