He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward and Jane Ellen Martin (Grogg); his wife Peggy Martin (Detamore); his sons, Bradley Martin and Jeffrey Martin; his grandson Travis Martin; his brother Douglas Scott Martin; his sister-in-law Wilda Fitzgerald (Rowe); and his son-in-law Terrence Neuendorf.

He is survived by: his children, Lisa Martin (Neuendorf), Penny Crawford (Ramsey), Phillip Ramsey, Brian Martin and Cathy Bartley (Ramsey); his close friend Wanda Wooten (Rowe); and his brother David Michael Martin. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
