She was predeceased by: her parents, Vincente Marquez of Ponce, PR and Ines Maria Quinones of Carolina, PR.; her husband Ruben Laguna; her former husband Julio A Encarnacion; and her children, Maria and Julio C Encarnacion (Pito).

She is survived by: her children, First, Jasmine Encarnacion Eaddy (James), Jarida Encarnacion (Orlando), Ruben "Chino" Laguna and Michael Encarnacion. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren and lastly 5 siblings.
