We are sad to announce that on May 19, 2024, at the age of 75, Alfonso Byrd (Orlando, Florida), born in Bartow, Florida passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eloise Heyward and William Byrd Sr.; his siblings, Vivian Hood, William "Bubba" Byrd Jr., Harry "Butch" Heyward Jr. and Willie Mae Byrd; and his daughter Shawn Vernisha Williamson.
He is survived by: his stepfather Harry Heyward Sr.; his brother Dennis Heyward (Veronique); his niece Monique Heyward; his nephews, Harry "TJ" Heyward III and William "Ducky" Byrd III; and his granddaughters, Erica Griffin and Sherika Thompson.
A private service will be held at Florida National Cemetery (Bushnell) to honor Alfonso's life and his contributions to his country and community. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a veterans' charity of your choice in Alfonso's name.
