Suzanne R. Moore Obituary
Suzanne R. Moore of Orange Park, Florida passed away on the morning of Monday April 18, 2022. Sue, as she was known, was born on Friday February 12, 1937 in Juniata County Pennsylvania to Luther B. and Anna C. Fry.
Surviving is her sister Judy Sigler of Dauphin, PA and her children Richard (now Ashley), John, Catherine, David, Terry, Lee Ann and former spouse Richard R. Moore Sr. There are also numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren of whom she was very proud.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Mary Lee Bunn, brother John F. Fry, son Steven F. Moore and pets Lucy and Joshua.
Mom was a US Navy spouse for 20 years traveling from Virginia to Rhode Island to California to Maine to Tennessee to Pensacola to Jacksonville, Florida and finally living, working and retiring in Orange Park. She always made sure each place was a home and all our needs were met and cared for.
Sue was a self-taught seamstress and was well known throughout Clay and Duval Counties for her impeccable clothes and uniform-making talent for many schools and organizations. She also worked for JCPenney and Sears at the Orange Park Mall, then Jax Navy/Vystar Federal Credit Union for many years as a customer service representative. Sue was also a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, supporter of the Moose Organization, and the Mouth & Foot Painting Artists.
Sue was also a great neighbor and enjoyed friendships with Becky, Jim and Gloria as well as numerous others past and present in the 50 years living in the Meadowbrook area.
According to her wishes there will be no service and that her remains be scattered into the Susquehanna River and on her Schell family descendants' farm in Pennsylvania where she relished her early childhood with her grandparents and many cousins.
In lieu of flowers, Mom also requested that instead of spending money, everyone spend a few moments of their time calling and talking to a family member or friend whom you have not heard from in a while.
Sue will be greatly missed by all!
