He was predeceased by: his wife Ann; his parents, John Ritch and Virginia Townsend; and his brothers, Lamar and Bob Townsend.
He is survived by: his children, Jamie Hudson (James), Ritch Townsend, Jr. (Debbie), Todd Townsend (Susan), Blake Day (Chasity) and Brooks Day; and his great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Garrett Day. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
