Though Joseph may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Schiffer and Joseph A. Schiffer of Brooklyn. He is survived by: his siblings, Maureen, Eugene and James Schiffer; his children, Michael Schiffer (Rhonda), Keith Schiffer (Ann), Patricia Ives (Scott), Steven Schiffer (Amy) and Christopher Ingram (Amanda); and his niece Theresa Butera. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
