He is survived by: his wife Penny Hixon; his children, Jessica Sauter and Kevin Hixon (Miriam); his grandchildren, Jakob Sauter, Scott Sauter, Rory Sauter, Lia Sauter, Amelia Hixon, Leia Hixon and Lilah Hixon; his siblings, Jim Hixon (Barb) and Judy Jackson (Sam); his nieces and nephews, Stacy Jackson, Kim Jackson, Alanna Jackson, Kate Hixon, Brian Hixon, Trevor Hixon and Cole Hixon; his great-niece Kira Jackson; and his great-nephew Jaiye Jackson. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of John to Highpoint Community Church.
