He was predeceased by: his wife Ila Carawan Barnes; his former wife Josy Coy; his parents, Frederick Barnes and Esther May; and his siblings, Marian Barnes Skinner, Roger Lee Barnes and Betty Barnes Powers.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Kindelsperger (James) and Ricky Barnes (Shara); his grandsons, James Kindelsperger (Tracy), Fred Kindelsperger (Callie), Austin Barnes and Justin Barnes (Daisy); his great grandchildren, Evelyn Kindelsperger and Oliver Kindelsperger; his siblings, Joyce Summers (Denny) and Ron May (Holly); his stepchildren, Scott Coy (Gina) and Leslie Coy; and his stepgrandson Austin Linn.
