Simpson; her siblings, Leona Crockett, Aretha Strozier, Mary "Mandy" Gaskin, Janie Johnson, Nora Strozier, Emond Strozier, Hubert Strozier, Claudia Strozier and Gurturie Strozier; her granddaughter Angela Jefferson Thomas; her husband Eldge; her daughter Brenda Simpson Brown (Walter); her stepchildren, Eldge Jackson, Willie Jackson (Shemeka), Minister Dorothy Riley (Rodney) and Gwendolyn Santos; her grandchildren, Jennifer Jones (Bo), Symara Joseph (Devon), Latoya Brown, Varden Blank, Travis Brown (Marie) and Porsha Rogers (Leon); her great grandchildren, Nicallette, Kia, Samuel Paris Thomas, Amber Brown, Kyrie Jenkins, Brandon Jones, Chloe, Noah, Ava Blank, Davon McClendon and KeShawn Daniels; her great great grandchildren, Elijah, Niclales Thomas, Kalani Jenkins, Amelia, Zeke and Sammie Thomas III; her godchildren, Jackie Longmire Green (Harrison) and Shantrese Jenkins; her sisters-in-law, Betty Watkins, Nonie Williams and Dorothy McKeever; and her close friends, Shirley Ford and Mae Francis Reese. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. John Missionary Baptist Church (1920 Mound St, Orange Park, FL 32073). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
