He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jackson and Louise G. Jackson; his sons, John Robert Palmer and William Jackson Jr.; his sister Joy Long; his daughter Karen Jackson; and his grandson RJ Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Sue Palmer; his daughter-in-law Lisa Palmer; his daughter Amelia; his son-in-law Robert Williams; his grandchildren, Patrick, Kayla, Melissa, Taylor Palmer, Randi (Steven Bruner) and Stacia Williams-Minshew; and his great grandchildren, Madalyn Palmer, Makenzie, Haylee, Payton, Ryan Bruner, Kaleb and Raquel Williams.
