She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Marion and Dora May Long (Jones); her husband James Roger Groover; and her siblings, Juanita Roan, Ilafaye McCauligh, Garland Long, Clara K. Long and F. M. Long.

She is survived by: her son James Charles Groover; her daughter-in-law Tammy J. Groover of Orange City, Florida; her daughter Shirley Grayce of Washington State; her grandchildren, James Gray of Germany, Kristin Gray of Denver and Timothy Groover of Bradenton, Florida; and her brothers, Samuel Richard Long and Larry Dean Long of Haskell, Texas..
