She was predeceased by: her parents, George C. McKamey and Hermia Brainard McKamey; and her siblings, Betty McKamey and George C. McKamey. She is survived by: her husband Jewell Hooper (Sam); and her children, Daniel Brooks, Rebecca Ann (Stone) and Betty Lynn (Hoffman). She is also survived by her husband, her three children, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Lankford Funeral Home & Crematory (220 E New York Ave, DeLand, FL 32724). A graveside service was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Palm Cemetery (1005 N New York Ave, Winter Park, FL 32789).
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that a donation be made to Samaritan's Purse.
