He was predeceased by: his parents, Valerian Chagnon and Lea Chagnon; his daughter Susie Buckley of Holiday; and his sisters, Jeanette Sikora of Turners Falls, Helen Pearson of Turners Falls and Jeanne Pelletier of Greenfield.

He is survived by: his wife Carol; and his children, Chris Chagnon of Maggie Valley, NC, Gary Chagnon (Kara) of Kingston and Julie Denton (Debra) of Davis.
