He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank G. Rath and Anna M. Rath; his former wife Mary Elizabeth Rath (Stratford); and his siblings, Kate, Bess (Pope), Doris (Doolittle) and Frank E. Rath Sr..

He is survived by: his wife Kay; his sons, Robert Rath Jr. (Sylvia) and Charles Rath (Denise); and his grandchildren, Taylor Rath Deutschle (John), Jason Rath (Nicole), Benjamin Rath (Alicia) and Angela Rath. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.

There are no services planned at this time in the current COVID environment.
