Gene touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Gene may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gene touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his father Leroy Smith. He is survived by: his wife Crissy Smith; his children, Jessi Smith (Tallon Reed), Dalton Smith (Emily) and Dozier Smith; his mother Carol Roberts; and his siblings, Shawna Phillips (Andrew), Audrea Smith and Tracy Smith. He is also survived by three grandchildren, and other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rick Gooding Funeral Home (1301 N Young Blvd, Chiefland, FL 32626). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
