He was predeceased by : his parents, Kenneth M. Hitsman and Jane Hitsman (Morgan). He is survived by : his spouse Sally Hitsman; his children, Dennis Lee Hitsman, Jr. of Keokuk, Janelle Haselby of Johnston and Carin Ison of Keokuk; his step-sons, Beau Nation of Waco and Isaac Nation of Chandler; and his sisters, Janice, Gipple of Burlington, Cheryl and White of Burlington. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren.
