She was predeceased by: her father Joel Higgins; her husband Roy Ward; her grandson Bryan Wright; and her sisters, Movaline Inez Robinson and Roberta "Bobbie" Krouse.
She is survived by: her children, Kay Burkhart, Joel Ward (Shyrel) and Melanie Wright (Genia Lubin); her grandchildren, Shanna Valentine, James McCall Tramel, David Valentine, Joel Ward II, Justin Ward, Michelle Wright, Nick Burkhart, Mike Burkhart, Matt Milnes and Chris Burkhart; and her siblings, Mack Higgins (Judy), Ray Higgins and Opal Teinert. She is also survived by 21 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
