She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver M. Harden and Marie Joanne Van of Velde Harden; her former husband Edward W. Doherty, Sr.; and her siblings, Olive, Elsie, Doris and Oliver.
She is survived by: her husband James Burton; her children, Linda, Ed and Sandra; and her sisters, Ida Young and Rosemary Townsend. She is also survived by two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
