With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Tex Merritt of Okahumpka, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 17, 2025 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Tex Merritt to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fate Merritt and Edna Merritt; his wife Judy Merritt; and his sisters, Joy Brooke and Joan Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa A. Lee and Mark Merritt (Amy); his grandsons, Allen Lee and Blake Merritt; and his brother Hal Merritt (Barbara). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Okahumpka (7714 County Rd 33, Okahumpka, FL 34762). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (7714 County Rd 33, Okahumpka, FL 34762).
