She was widowed on December 4, 1988, she and Louis Eugene Thomasson were married on September 7, 1968.

Marjorie was a family caregiver and homemaker and her passions were her grandchildren, family, friends, gardening, and crafts.

She is survived by her children, Bearl B.Cox, Tammy Lynn Cook, Louis Eugene Thomasson, Jr., and William Thomasson; her grandchildren, Logan Corkill, Dustin Cox, Amy Cox, Jennifer Cox , Richard Cox, Jr., Samantha Dorsey, Mellisa Dorsey, Trisha Dorsey, Nikki Hartsfield, Sabrina Hartsfield, Erika Bure, Kacey Bure, Kayla Stanford, Annabelle Thomasson and HawkinThomasson, Jessica McMahon and Joshua Kincade and 16 great grandchildren.
