He was predeceased by: his sons, Darrel Turner and Michael Turner; his siblings, Earl Turner and Jane Fowler; and his granddaughter Abby Englade.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his children, Charlie Turner (Deborah), Mary Edwards (David), Jeff Walker (Susan) and Stacy Edmiston (Jeff); and his brother Collie Turner (Effie Jo). He is also survived by his nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
