He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Diane DeGroot; his children, Laura DeGroot (Bill Schramm), James DeGroot (Trish DeGroot) and Leslie Doyle; his grandchildren, Daniel (Dixie), Jesse (Layne), Matthew (Ness), Brandon (Stephanie), Christopher (Natalia), Jason (Alexis), Sarah (Kevin), Kevin, Rylee, Lorelei, Abel, Jimmy, Levi, Wyatt and Baby Doyle; his brothers-in-law, Gerald Wapniarski and Herbert Wolf Dear; and his nephew Jim.
