He was predeceased by: his father John Erwin. He is survived by: his close friend Carole Amey; and his children, Crystal Mullet, Vanessa Erwin, Veronica Hoenshell, Sonja Turner, Chrissy Hayden, Teri Arnold, Cole Erwin, Victor Erwin and Tommy Nelson. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
