He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Steele and Mary Coleman Steele; his daughter Kelly; and his brother Mike. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor "Ellie" Steele; his children, Mike, Patrick, Colin, Cathy, Erin, Rory, Julie and Shannon; and his siblings, Barry, Terry and Paddy Lynn. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren.
A Mass was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (14045 N US Hwy 301, Citra, FL 32113). A burial was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Florida National Cemetery (6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513).
