With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rutha Mae Thigpen (Ocala, Florida), born in Tampa, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 13, 2024 at the age of 73. She was predeceased by : her parent Bessie Mae; her children, Frank James Thigpen, Jr. and Barbara Ann Thigpen; her siblings, Charlie Mae Rivers and Rudolph McNeal; and her grandson Devonte Allen.
She is survived by : her daughters, Lakisha Thigpen of Miami, FL, Lawander Thigpen of Orlando, FL, Louise Thigpen of Orlando, FL, Folukey Thigpen of Orlando, FL, Kathy Pace of Gainesville, FL and Gloria "Glo" Ousley of Orlando, FL. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other close family, and friends.
