He was predeceased by: his daughter Cynthia Sargent; his siblings, Fred Hunt and Jean Whittaker; and his parents, McGee Rolf Hunt and Mildred Smith Hunt.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Durrance Hunt; his children, Robert Hunt Jr. (Janet), Sharon Smith (John), Sue Black (Bill) and Stacey Wood; his grandchildren, Cameron Sargeant, Sonja Gresset (Levi), Jami Boles (Brian), Brett Smith (Laura), Alex Cogger and Jonathon Cogger; and his sister-in-law Anna Marie Hunt. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Blessed Trinity Catholic Church (5 SE 17th St, Ocala, FL 34471).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint Anne's School at Kyedikyo, a sub parish of Blessed Trinity in Nalweyo, Uganda.
