He was predeceased by : his parents, Bernard Young and Marie Young (Grove); and his brothers, Jim and Mike. He is survived by : his daughters, Twila Griffis, Eva Young, Dotty Perez and Shelly Bissinger. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Olivet Baptist Church in his name.
