It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janette Sylvia Smithen (Ocala, Florida), who passed away on April 4, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Corbett Dyer and Frederick Clarke; her brother Ferdinand Clarke; and her aunts and uncles, Hyacinth "Liza", Sarah, Catherine, Elizabeth "Maynie" Corbett, Alfred, James, Peter and Joseph Corbett.
She is survived by: her husband Henry Smithen; her children, Ruthlyn Smithen-Cameron, Roanavelt, Rudelle and Remial Smithen; her siblings, Kenaz Dyer Sr. Nethaneel Dyer, Samuel Osborne, Clifford, Gerard Clarke, Vanessa Edwards and Sarah Joyner; her grandchildren, Rod Cameron Jr., Roman Cameron, Lauren, Gabby, Gracelyn, Jaydon, Jadeyl and Juztys Smithen; her son-in-law Rod Cameron Sr.; and her sister-in-law Noreen Dyer. She is also survived by her many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and God-children.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at 2739 SE Maricamp Rd, Ocala, FL 34471.
